We start of the finale 6 minutes (in canon) before the events at the over of the previous episode. Here we see that Jacob has Sarah tied up downstairs & that he is aware that Michael is coming because he planted the map. Of course, we know most of this already, the real kicker comes when we find out that Van Gogh has entered the room upstairs. Here we see that he really doesn’t want to vị this anymore, that this isn’t what they signed on for. I was honestly shocked when A&W shot him. It’s really sad when the only reason they’re doing it is because they believe Michael killed someone they care about, when in fact it was Jacob who did it.

When we see Sara running after Mike và Jacob it really warmed my heart (and broke it a little) especially when Michael had khổng lồ pull her back & calm her down. This brings us into one detour of having to take Lincoln to the hospital after being shot. With this being the last episode, possibly forever, they really did try to pack in as much action/drama as they could và it honestly worked.

After this we get a team up with Michael, Sara, T-Bag, & Whip. While they’re making plans Jacob uses his charm, and his relationship with Mike, to lớn convince him that Michael is the enemy & wants khổng lồ hurt them. It was a really sad moment when he shouted at Michael over the phone, but it spurred the group on lớn finish their revenge against Jacob và end things once và for all.

First, we see Michael break into Jacob’s secret office. At this point we don’t know what exactly what he’s up too, but he threatens Jacob & forces a meet. Elsewhere, we have Sara at the hospital. On her way out she goes to lớn speak lớn Van Gogh. It actually broke my heart a little when he asked her to just let him die. I appreciate that he turned over lớn the good side in the end because as we’ve discovered. He wasn’t going after Michael because he was evil, but because he was trying khổng lồ avenge someone he cared about. He was also one of Jacob’s victims.

The best scenes, however, came from T-Bag & Whip. We see them show up at a motel and T-Bag is trying lớn set a good example. Explaining that killing is wrong và the only reason he would bởi vì it in this situation is because it’s for the greater good. Besides this father-son time, we finally get some answers about the Elvis impersonator! Naturally, he was a former inmate who Michael helped out và owed him a favour.

Here’s where everyone slowly comes back together again. On the one hand, we have Sara who goes to get Mike. Previously, Jacob had lied & said that Sara was dead, but upon seeing her Mike realises that Jacob is the one in the wrong và the one he should be afraid of. We see her enter the building and search for him and when she’s interrupted Lincoln appears out of nowhere. I really vì chưng enjoy the Lincoln và Sara relationship và I hope if they ever bởi vì plan to vày more, that that’s a relationship we get khổng lồ see more of.

While all of that is going on we have Michael, T-Bag, và Whip showing up at the warehouse khổng lồ meet Jacob & A&W. During the confrontation, Whip gets shot và I honestly hoped for as long as I could that it was fake and was part of Michael’s plan, but slowly it makes it abundantly clear that this was real & Whip really was dying. I was partly in shock and partly trying not lớn cry. I can safely say that Whip is one of my new favourite characters in the show, but I’m definitely not angry, mostly because this was the last episode.

It was partly satisfactory lớn see T-Bag get the upper hand with A&W but it was also kind of sad because we know, that just like Van Gogh, she believes going after Michael & co is the right thing & she also knows there’s no way of getting out. The final parting between T-Bag and Whip was actually quite heartbreaking & then the former allows for himself to lớn be arrested which we know is part of the later plan. I vì wish we got lớn see more of T-Bag and Whip together.

After all of this, we finally get khổng lồ see Michael’s master plan, something that has been in the works for several years. It was so interesting to see Michael vị things lượt thích changing what he was wearing as he ran, but when they ran through those flaps và we saw the setting, it was just perfect. With this being the finale, I could have believed that Michael really was shot in that moment, however, I am happy that wasn’t the case seen as this season was all about bringing him back from the dead.

We really get lớn see how he planned every single possible detail. We know at this point that the Elvis impersonator made the set, Michael deliberately put blanks in the gun knowing that Jacob wouldn’t even bother to check, they built the mix into a truck so it could be driven away before the cops could find it, we find out that the blood collected by Whip and T-Bag was planted by Michael in Jacob’s office (whereas before we thought he had only stolen hard drives), và the best part comes when Michael essentially tells the CIA the truth when being interviewed.

Sure the photos he showed were fake, but they were reenactments of a real crime. Other than planting the blood evidence, which was necessary, everything Michael tells them is the truth, he doesn’t have to lớn (fully) lie about it all. I bởi vì wonder though if he accounted for Jacob’s assistant, Andrew Nelson, or not. It does seem lượt thích Andrew has been there right from the beginning, but I can’t tell if he was a wild card. If he was the one thing that Michael couldn’t guarantee would work out, but of course, we discover that Andrew informed the CIA of everything (most likely as part of some deal).

When all is said and done we see Michael is set miễn phí and given his old identity back (he even gets a job offer which thankfully he denies). I liked the fact that after his release we see that he, Sara, & Mike are a family again, but also that Sheba và Lincoln are together và are also a part of that family. The fact that Sheba seems to have fitted into their family so well really makes me happy, và we can assume that there’s also her family, as well as characters lượt thích C-Note và Sucre. My favourite part of this scene was the little moment where Michael casually says “I love you” lớn Lincoln who returns it with an “I love you, too.” It was so soft that I couldn’t stop smiling.

It was honestly such a lovely way to go và this entire episode just wrapped up really well. I would say that all my questions were answered & what we got was satisfactory. Of course, the bow that tied it all together và made it absolutely perfect comes when we see that Jacob has been sent to Fox River (I couldn’t stop smiling!) and it gets even better when T-Bag jumps off the đứng đầu bunk after he & Jacob have been locked in their cell. We can assume that T-Bag plans lớn live out his sentence, which will probably be made longer after killing Jacob, however, I’d like to think that because he sacrificed his freedom, và because Michael mentioned that someone would have khổng lồ take Jacob out, that there’s a plan lớn get him out (or get him out earlier). Most likely done by sticking khổng lồ the law as opposed lớn breaking T-Bag out. Michael clearly still doesn’t think highly of him, but after recent events, it’s clear that T-Bag isn’t the same person he used khổng lồ be. Plus, I’d like to believe that Michael would have helped for Whip because in Michael’s plans Whip doesn’t die & would have most likely wanted a relationship with his father.

All in all, I loved this season of Prison Break và I’m so sad lớn see it over again. I would be nội dung with this being the end, it feels lượt thích the one we should have had before, but I also wouldn’t complain at more. This season proved that they know what they’re doing. I just hope that they vày it, they have something really amazing up their sleeves.

Saying goodbye to Prison Break all over again was never going khổng lồ be an easy task.

Thankfully, Prison Break Season 5 Episode 9 brought the storyline full circle while giving the characters the endings they should have gotten in the first place.

*

Hey, we"ve waited years for this ending, and I"m glad the characters got the justice they deserved. However, I found it so cruel that Whip was killed off lượt thích that. From a storyline standpoint, it would have been better lớn have Whip reunite with T-Bag before Prison Break Season 5 Episode 8.

They never got time to lớn bond & run through the years they missed, và it took away from what should have been a horrifying moment for both characters. It was almost lượt thích the quick fire death was thrown in to make it easier khổng lồ digest that T-Bag would go after Jacob.

I"m all for thrilling endings, but T-Bag changed so much throughout Prison Break Season 5. His first instinct in the past was lớn kill his way out of situations. What we got lớn see this season was some first-class character development for Robert Knepper"s alter ego.

Returning khổng lồ where it all began was a fitting way for the final scene of the series to lớn play out. It was so god damn obvious that T-Bag was in the top bunk. It was perfect but also showed that T-Bag would be spending the rest of his life on the inside.

Jacob was a complete D-Bag at the best of times. I don"t think I"ll ever understand his true motives. I don"t think he loved Sara for one minute. I think it was more down to lớn the convenience of knowing that he would be with Sara if Michael ever reappeared.

It was a good plan, but it was downright cruel, & I"m glad he was made to lớn pay for his sins. Michael recreating the scene of the murder was pretty awesome. It actually reminded me a little of Scream 3 when Sydney was being chased through the fake home by her half brother.

Some of Michael"s decisions throughout this revival series have been downright awful, but I loved how perfectly executed his plan was to take Jacob down once and for all. Watching the happy look disappear from Jacob"s face as he noticed that Michael implicated him in the murder Jacob pinned on Michael was everything.

Jacob prided himself on always being one step ahead of Michael, but he did not bank on Michael being the smartest man on the planet. I mean, we knew Michael was smart, but something tells me he may have been downplaying it lớn Jacob.

*

The investigators seemed so happy lớn have Jacob in custody. In their line of work, it"s probably unheard of to lớn have something lượt thích that to lớn happen.

I was biting my nails when Michael was revealing the truth at the end & showing the missing frames of the image. With minutes left, it sure seemed like they were going to lớn try to lớn find a way to keep Michael imprisoned.

Maybe they could have in order to lớn use his expertise. It would have been crazy if Michael took them up on the job. Working for the people who cast such a dark cloud over his life would have been an interesting watch, but could anyone really imagine Michael doing anything other than breaking out of impossible situations?

I found Van Gogh"s sudden change of heart a little bit out there. He should have been better prepared lớn handle A&W if she did not want lớn leave the group. Like, it was alright of him to help Sara out, but I"m just not buying it.

Both A&W và Van Gogh have been ruthless throughout this revival series. Look at the way they took Paul Kellerman out without so much as thinking about it.

Are we to assume that Van Gogh was prepared to go to prison for his crimes if he let Sara và Michael run free? Meh.

Lincoln returning to lớn cause some drama for Luca was just plain dumb. The police could have easily arrested Lincoln & hauled his ass back lớn Fox River.

He should have just tipped off the police and watched from a distance. Nothing is ever smooth sailing on this show, so he should have known better.

So, Michael và Sara are back together và living their life together. This is the type of ending we should have gotten after Prison Break Season 4. Waiting all of this time for this ending sucked, but the characters are officially at peace.

That said, I found the final scene between Lincoln, Michael, Sara, Sheba and Mike to lớn be laughably bad. It was rushed and packed very little emotional punch.

I would have rathered one more episode if it meant slowing the pace down và letting some of the storylines sink in before ending it all.

*

However, that could not happen because of conflicting schedules for the actors. I"m thankful for these nine episodes, but let"s give these characters a well-deserved rest now.

The series should only ever return if there is a storyline that is worth upsetting this tranquility for the characters. I doubt I"m the only one that may sit out of any potential returns.

The ending may have been rushed, but it was worth the wait.

"Behind the Eyes" would have benefited from being a 90-minute installment. So much was happening that it was difficult khổng lồ process it in such a short time before the next twist reared its ugly head.
